A very nice breakfast including jams and marmalades, olives and olive oil, and oregano all being of Tas Otel's own production is served each morning in a comfortable setting by the pool. The boutique hotel is an oasis on the edge of the pedestrian area of Alacati. Like many in Alacati the staff have 'adopted' a number of cats - all very friendly.

Lovely Hotel Lovey Hotel, very friendly and attentive staff, they catered for our every need. Pool and garden were lovey surroundings and the cakes every evening were very tasty, Alaçatı itself is very nice and has good selection of restaurants

Wow what a fabulous boutique character hotel - relaxed atmosphere This small hotel combines history with comfort and fabulous staff. Alacati is near great windsurfing and worth a few days in itself. The Saturday market was fab. Loved the hotel’s garden and pool and the cake and tea that is provided free every afternoon. Turkish bake-off!!

Return trip to Aliçati Tas Otel

We loved our five days at the Tas Otel last year so decided we needed longer this year, both in Turkey and at the Tas Otel! We had a month in Turkey this year and returned to the Tas Otel for nine nights. We were not disappointed! The lovely garden room was very private and comfortable, the staff welcoming and helpful, the breakfasts were still fabulous and the kittens were a bonus! Freshly baked cake with a glass of Turkish tea in the afternoon is a lovely treat. Highly recommended!

Authentic charm in the heart of Alacati Charming old stone building - we stayed in what was likely the carriage house; high, slanting ceiling, plaster walls, antique appointments, very clean; bed was comfortable (but more like Queen size), large bathroom, great shower, overall comfortable and authentic

Tranquility One of the best small hotels I have visited, the sort of place you only realise how good it is once you return home. The staff are a small team whose key trait is hospitality and ensuring that you have a good stay. Good Turkish breakfast and fantastic home baked cake and tea in the afternoon in the garden poolside area. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean, bed linen and towels changed daily. Pool area and garden space are very special. I hope to revisit. The hotel is adjacent to a drinking venue so there’s some noise in the late evening but nothing overly problematic.

Beautiful friendly hotel The hotel is on the edge of the lively town and so strikes the best balance between tranquility and easy access. The pool (in the walled garden) felt like it was in the countryside during the day as the village is closed to traffic. Breakfast was great as was tea and cakes in the afternoon. There is a sandy beach around 2km north of the town. Perfect place to recharge before looking at more ancient sites or cities!

Felt like home! Very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere - we felt more like we were visiting family than staying in a hotel. The large fenced garden and pool area were a real highlight and lovely respite after a day wandering the village. Our room was absolutely beautiful - very spacious, simple and well considered. Zeynep and her helpful friendly team provided excellent personalised service. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The homemade cake on offer every afternoon was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

It's as nice as everyone says.!

OK let's get the main issue sorted, there is a disco/bar on one side of the hotel, so it's going to be noisy June July August, but if you can find any hotel in Alaçatı without a noisy bar /restaurant near it you are lucky. The hotel is clean, tasteful with nice garden and pool which gets the sun for 5 hrs a day. The staff are all genuinely helpful and good at their jobs, nothing was too much trouble for them. We were there in October it was really quiet in the rooms and the breakfasts..... 12 jams 6 cheeses 6 breads 2 honey cereal l fruit filter coffee and more. A delight and a pleasure to meet the owner

A peace of mind It was my second visit to Taş Otel. Having a car is a life saver in this area because the beaches are not close by. The rooms are very modestly designed as you are expected to find peace in the absence of any phones or tv. (No, please don't get me wrong, of course they don't collect the smart phones at the entrance!) You will also see many newly weds posing in front of the hotel's gate since it's a very popular spot in the area. The friendly staff serve a rich breakfast (open buffet) and tasty cakes with tea between 5 and 7 pm. It's the best treat when you return from one of the beaches of Çeşme with clearest water. Then you can take your shower and get ready to eat in Alaçatı. Taş Otel is walking distance to the popular narrow streets all around. Don't forget to ask the reception for tips for beaches and nice restaurants. You may come across little deals. Enjoy your stay!

Fantastic stay! If you're looking for relaxation, quality service in a small hotel on the edge of a lovely little town with lots of great restaurants then this is the place for you! We stayed here for a week and everything was perfect. The breakfasts and afternoon cake are delicious, the staff super helpful and the rooms lovely and serene. We spent our days lazing by the pool or on the beach and our nights wandering the cobbled streets for our next delicious meal - all right on our doorstep. If you're thinking of booking the Tas Otel, do it. We found no fault with our stay and will definitely return!

Best Hotel I've Ever Stayed In

This hotel was part of the reason of the best vacation of my life. I fell in love with it immediately from the outside, and the inside was even more perfect. I took home one of their embroidered pillows they sell to guests and didn't open it until I returned and it still smelled like the hotel. Apparently the aroma is due to the flowers, fresh sea air and environment. When I smelled the pillow, I literally felt high with happiness for a few seconds :) Being at this hotel defiantly made my trip memorable, which was already the best vacation I've ever taken. Not much else different to add that others have already raved about. Love the doggy, too!

Real deal Chilled, calm and intelligent service. Kids loved the dogs and cats in the area. Breakfast was good, rooms were simple but luxury. Authentic and very responsive. The town of Alacati was touristy, but not overly so, with some good restaurants. Any question we had was answered quickly and accurately. A good place to have a family break or write a book...

Beautiful home from home

Our family of 4 stayed in the smaller of the two separate guest house rooms in August 2014. It is one big room with two single beds and a separate bedroom with a double bed, so perfect for us. Our children were aged 7 and 5. We loved having our own swimming pool and private garden (the other was empty so we had the place to ourselves). We then just walked the very short distance to the main hotel for breakfast and of course afternoon tea when we were not out exploring. In the evening when the children were asleep we could enjoy a glass of wine and even a swim without needing a baby sitter, which was fantastic. Alacati itself was a great base for the area, a beautiful little town with lots of restaurants and a buzzing atmosphere but with lots to explore. Tasotel was the best place to stay, as others have said, it has a simple authentic elegance, the staff were very friendly and helpful and our children loved playing with the friendly cats. They also gave us some great restaurant recommendations. My husband kitesurfs and there are a few good spots nearby. We also visited some of the beach clubs and Aqua Toy City which was great fun for all of us. Overall it was brilliant for a family holiday. The final nice touch was our gift of the Tasotel cake book and in fact it is while making brownies with the children from the book (a big favourite from the trip) that I realised I had never actually posted this review. Highly recommend!

…. The Tas Otel proved to be a real sanctuary (in a very real sense of the word) since we experienced the sad event of the attempted coup whilst at the hotel and despite the real worry, concern and fear amongst your staff they continued to look after us as before. A truly exceptional, professional and ultimately human service. We can’t thank the team enough. And I haven’t mentioned the quality of your facilities - wonderful!

…….. otele varır varmaz, Yusuf Bey beni kapıda bekliyordu. Ucağım İzmir’e gec inince, ben de geciktim haliyle.. ve orada bir kez daha anladım Tas Otel’in ayrıcalığını.

Salih Bey’in de bana gittiğim gün yardımlarını asla unutmayacağım. Gerçekten minnettarım. Otelin kapısını arkamdan çekip gitmek zorunda kaldığımda, sizlerden, tatlı kediciklerden ve özellikle Pan’dan artık ayrıldığımı anlayınca, gözlerim doldu. Günlerin nasıl geçtiğini anlamadım. Tas Otel, Tas Otel ailesi (tüm üyeleriyle:)) bana huzur dolu günler gecirmeme sebep oldu gercekten:)

Sizleri tekrar ziyaret edeceğim, tekrar o güzel otelinizde kalmayı cok istiyorum ve özellikle sizleri görmeyi.

“Tas (stone) Hotel but HeartWarming”

Despite the weather was not pleasant, staff created the sun in our hearts. What a beautiful people, not driven by commercial interests but a real love and respect to humanbeing...So it is indeed a Tas (stone) house with heartwarming charm with staff and its energy.

The only regret, we have not met with Zeynep hanim, all Alacati people love and respect her for her outstanding contribution to the promotion of the town.

“Too short a stay!”

…Had we know how charming the town is and how comfortable Alacati Tas Otel is, we would have planned a longer stay.

Our room was beautifully renovated, bright and comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and had great smelling olive oil products. We could tell how much time, money and love went into restoring the building and really admired the detail.

Shortly after we arrived, we were invited to tea and cake in the verdant poolside garden. In the morning, we came back to the garden to find a scrumptious Turkish style breakfast…

If we get a chance to come back to Turkey, we will definitely come back to the Alacati Tas Otel.

“Fabulous Stay in Alacati”

…fabulous on all accounts! The hotel is beautiful, quiet, impeccably clean and so comfortable--we felt at home from the very start.

In addition to the beauty of the hotel and its ideal location (at the end of the main village street) the staff makes Tas an perfect place to stay. We found all members of staff to be extremely warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. More than one member of staff gave us their personal cell phone numbers in case we had any issues or questions as we were out exploring.

This was above and beyond attention to our needs and clear concern for our comfort. The hotel serves a fabulous, homemade breakfast every morning and provides homemade cake and tea every afternoon.

We so enjoyed this amazing hotel and feel it contributed directly to our love of Alacati and our perfect stay!

“Spectacular Staff And Charming Style” …perfect spot for a romantic getaway on Turkey's beautiful Cesme Peninsula. The hotel, a former private home, has been tastefully renovated with class, style and a great sense of history… But what really makes a hotel are the staff. The owner and her crew are a remarkable bunch: friendly, helpful and genuinely happy you are staying in their care. Tas was the first boutique hotel in Alacati. It was clearly a labor of love. At the end of our stay, we left for the airport at 4:30am; the staff insisted on sending us off with breakfast. Tas is one of the finest boutique hotels my wife and I have encountered after years of traveling. Book a room here--you'll leave with great memories.

“Subtle and classy” Taş Otel has been the landmark place in Alaçatı for all these years. As it turns out, for good reason. Good service is not an accessory but is internalized.
